Each test answers a different question
No single test explains complete network performance. Interpret the result alongside the target’s own firewall and response policy.
Ping response
Shows reachability and round-trip time when an ICMP reply is available. Blocked ICMP alone does not prove that a service is offline.
Network path
Lists intermediate steps that respond. Some routers may hide themselves or rate-limit the request.

Which targets can be tested?
Only IP addresses and hostnames routable on the public Internet are accepted.
Why are private IP addresses blocked?
Requests to loopback, link-local, private and reserved networks are blocked for security.
Does a missing ping reply mean the service is offline?
No. A target firewall can block ICMP while the application remains available.
Does traceroute show every router?
No. Some routers do not reply or may rate-limit traceroute probes.
