Choose a target and test

Only targets routable on the public Internet are accepted. Private, loopback, and reserved addresses are blocked for security.

IP address or hostname

Do not include a protocol, path, port, or query string.

Test type

DNSResolve published IPv4 and IPv6 records. PingCheck target reachability and the measured round-trip response. TracerouteView responding network steps on the path to the target.

Address family

Every request is validated on the server with execution-time and output limits. Commands and arbitrary parameters are never accepted.

Each test answers a different question

No single test explains complete network performance. Interpret the result alongside the target’s own firewall and response policy.

DNS

DNS resolution

Shows IPv4 or IPv6 addresses published by the hostname at test time. Multiple addresses can be normal.

ICMP

Ping response

Shows reachability and round-trip time when an ICMP reply is available. Blocked ICMP alone does not prove that a service is offline.

PATH

Network path

Lists intermediate steps that respond. Some routers may hide themselves or rate-limit the request.
