Co-location places customer-owned physical hardware in rack space at a data centre while the provider supplies the contracted power and network connection. The ownership of the server does not change. The plan therefore needs to match the chassis rack height, measured power draw and required connectivity rather than an assumed workload label.
Plans combine either 1U or 2U of rack space with 1A or 2A of power. Each option includes 100 Mbit internet, a 1 Gbit physical port and one IP address; contact support for additional power, traffic or IP requirements before shipping hardware.
Choose 1U or 2U from the actual chassis height. Rails, depth and any non-standard dimensions should be checked with the technical team before delivery.
Plans offer 1A and 2A options. Selection should be based on measured continuous and peak consumption rather than only the maximum PSU label.
All four plans include 100 Mbit internet and a 1 Gbit physical port.
One IP address is included with each plan. Contact the technical team about additional addresses and routing requirements.
Companies that already own a rack server and want to operate it in a data-centre environment instead of an office equipment room.
Teams that select their own disks, network adapters or accelerators and need to retain ownership of the resulting hardware.
Organisations with their own system administrators that need a fixed data-centre connection for applications running on owned equipment.
Projects bringing one- or two-rack-unit physical systems into a single documented location with a known power allocation.
With co-location, the customer owns the physical server and the data centre provides rack space, contracted power and connectivity. With a dedicated plan, the server hardware is part of the provider service. Hardware investment, component replacement responsibility, power requirements and remote-hands planning should guide the choice.
Plans are provided at the Datacasa Data Center in Istanbul. Arrange hardware delivery, physical access and intervention procedures with support before shipment.
Common questions about selection and operation.
It is a service where customer-owned physical hardware is installed in data-centre rack space and receives the power, internet connection and IP resources listed in the selected plan.
Four plans are available: 1U/1A, 2U/1A, 1U/2A and 2U/2A. Choose according to rack space and power requirements.
All four plans include 100 Mbit internet, a 1 Gbit port and one IP address. Contact the technical team about additional traffic or IP requirements.
Check the actual rack height and rail system of the chassis. A 1U server needs 1U and a 2U server needs 2U; non-standard dimensions require separate confirmation.
Use measured continuous and peak current draw. A power supply maximum rating alone may not represent the server’s real operational consumption.
